* After the shells have been tumbled, sometimes pieces chip, and I use these tumbled pieces of paua to create many of the items on the website!
* AB refers to the facets on the cut glass crystals, and is short for Aurora Borealis (the northern lights). These multi faceted crystals reflect light and match well with the beautiful colours of the paua shell.
* 90% of the items on the website are handmade in Scotland. The other 10% are pieces from NZ, so you are also supporting local artists in NZ.
* You can make payment via EKM Clear Accept, which accepts all cards, or via Paypal, or click "bank transfer" and look out for an email with Girl Paua Bank Details. Please contact me if you have any issues mhairi@girlpaua.co.uk
* Bracelets are made with Stretch Magic - they are super springy and shouldn't break. I do offer a repair service for all jewellery starting from £5 so get in touch if you have any issues - mhairi@girlpaua.co.uk
* I customise a lot of items eg gold instead of silver, larger or smaller sizes/length, and even one off pieces, so do just ask!
* When you order you can click reply on the confirmation email & ask me for some pics of what I have in stock, so you can choose your perfect pair of earrings! I usually send most photos via whatsapp so include your phone number too!

Delivery
Most items are handmade to order, so you can expect delivery to take place between 7 & 10 days from the date of the order. We will endeavour to make the delivery earlier where possible. We give you various delivery options and always get a Proof of Postage receipt. If you wish you can use recorded delivery as this allows us to track your package and confirms delivery to you by means of a signature on receipt.
If you require your goods for a specific date please email us before placing the order and we will be able to confirm if delivery can take place urgently, in which case it is advisable to use the Special Delivery Service (next day delivery if ordered before 1pm, excluding weekends.)
Please note, frames and mirrors have slightly different postage costs which are detailed on the individual product description pages.
Returns
We take pride in the quality of our jewellery and in our service. Please be aware that great care has been taken to accurately represent the colour of our jewellery, however pearls and shell products such as Mother of Pearl and Paua are natural products, and as such some variation of colour can & should be expected.
You can always email with any particular colour requests and we will do our best to accommodate these wishes.
If the items you have chosen do not meet with your approval, you can return them to us within 14 days of receipt (unworn and in the original packaging) and we will be happy to exchange the items or refund the cost of the items via the original method of payment within 28 days. If items are returned outwith the 14 day period then returns will be accepted at the discretion of Girl Paua and a credit note may be issued.
Please note that pierced earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, unless faulty.
If the item is faulty, or there has been an error on our part, we will refund the full cost together with the postage costs. Delivery charges are non refundable unless goods are deemed faulty. It is recommended that you use Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery for any returns as refunds are only made on receipt of returned item. Sale items are non refundable. If you do wish to return an item to us, please contact us by e-mail for an authorisation code & return address prior to returning the item.
