Abalone Shells

Beautiful jersey & NZ abalone shells which have a more "mother of pearl" white mixed tone. 

We have two sizes: approximately 3" in length from Jersey, and 4" in length from NZ.

Both shells have an unpolished outside and shiny inside.

Paua is the NZ ,aori for abalone, but there are abalone around the world. The closest to us are in Orkney and Jersey. The crustations on the shell show how it is originally, before polishing. The crustations are only on the outside of the shell, where it was used as protection under the water. The inside is fully polished and bright.
